Euromaidan

Euromaidan

On November 21 late in the evening at the Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kiev meeting started. It was a protest against the decision of the Ukrainian Government and the European Union to freeze the negotiations on the association agreement. Next days thousands of students, workers, pensioners joined peaceful demonstrations for signing agreement to become the associated participant of EU.

After not signing the association with EU at summit of "Eastern Partnership" in Vilnius, Lithuania on 28-29 November people didn’t give up and continued staying at Maidan with motto: “For free person in independent country”.

But nevertheless right not it is not dangerous to visit Kiev. It’s just a great time for Ukraine to speak up and prove people’s rights. So if you plan your trip to Kiev there is no need to cancel it. The demonstrations are peaceful and the police do not interfere to this protest. Everyone can come to support Ukrainian nation.
